Now we're gettin' somewhere. Unfortunetaly, you ain't gettin a
straight answer, 'cuz I don't do surveillance. But I can tell you that
no serious firm utilizes MPEG2 anymore. A tweaked build of MPEG 4-10
(H264) is the most probable. I can't validate this but it's possible
that standards primarily built for surveillance and conference videos
may also be in practice, (keywords: Pulsent and Euclid technologies.)
