Take it back and demand a refund unless they can show you how it works.
The output from your mac is DVI, and if it doesn't work with that
display, there is something wrong on their side. If it claims to accept
DVI standard then you have grounds for a refund. They can say they don't
sup****t macs but that is not the issue, it says they sup****t DVI.
Unless... can you test it first with a different screen? Just to be sure?
