A friend asked me to make a brochure for her home-based business, so I
made a rough draft with NeoOffice on my G4 PowerPC Mac (OS X 10.4.8).
I'd rather have a real page layout program, but I can't afford
QuarkXPress or InDesign.
I found the open-source Scribus, and downloaded it and all of the
framework files, including Ghostscript. I installed Scribus on my
secondary hard drive, which is larger than my boot drive but has no
system software, and the framework files in ~/Library/Frameworks/ on my
boot drive. My problem is that when I launch Scribus, it quits right
away.
Is Scribus for Intel Macs only? Or am I doing something else wrong?
