Ok,

In that case....

What don't you add all values which fall onto the same line together and
then take the average ?

To get even more information another idea is to do like Stock Traders do:

1. Determine the maximum.
2. Determine the minimum.
3. Determine the average. (I think it was average).

Then display as follows:

Graph example:

     X
     |X X
     ||X|
    X+|||
   X||+|+
 X ||Z|||
 |X+| |+Z
X|||+ ||
|+||| Z|
|||ZZ  |
||+    |
+Z|    Z
| |
Z |
  |
  Z

Can't remember the name of this kind of chart. Stick chart probably or
something.

In reality stock trader use the following:

1. Maximum = Highest Price of the Day.
2. Minimum = Lowest Price of the Day.
3. Average = Average Price of the Day. (If I remember correctly ;))

This has the adventage that it not only shows averages... but it also
shows
maximum and minimum to give a better idea of fluctuations during that day.

Bye,
  Skybuck.
