Will Terragen benefiting from powerful GPU ?

by penang@[EMAIL PROTECTED] Oct 25, 2007 at 04:06 AM

Just found Terragen and played with it a bit. Quite interesting
package.

I used it on my test machine - an old P3 800Mhz with an integrated
graphic device - and it took quite a long time to render an image.

I moved the thing in a newer machine, a P4, with integrated graphic.
The same image rendered faster, but not fast enough.

And this gets me to think - will Terragen benefit from a powerful
GPU ?

My friend got an awesome machine with a dual SLI GPU thingy. I haven't
test Terragen on it, and want to know which thing Terragen uses to
render - the CPU or the GPU ?

Will appreciate a lot for any of your input. Thanks again !
