Question about Visualization of Circles and Squares

by "Siamak Sarmadys" <sarmadys@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sep 27, 2007 at 06:14 PM

People, Hello,

I am doing a simulation which needs visualizing maximum of 100,000
entities in the form of points on a 640*480 points area (with the
capability of zoom in).

The problem is that because dimensions (width and length) of spots are
not equal on computer screen, when you try to show those entities in
the form of a circle, you will see an eliptical form. If you try to
show them in a square form, they will be seen as a rectangle.

What is normally being done to compensate this effect? (unequal width
and length of screen cells)

Thank you,
Mac
