Is Baking to UV Parameter Space Available?

by dugla <douglass.turner@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jul 10, 2007 at 08:15 PM

As I understand it, bake() creates a texture map in raster space and
bake3d() creates a point cloud in 3D. One thing I would really like is
to be able to bake to 2D UV-space. This is something I use extensively
with MentalRay and am reluctant to give up as I contemplate moving to
3Delight.

Can someone confirm/deny my assumption? Thanks.

Cheers,
Doug
