There are no differencies between Editable Mesh and Editable Poly in 
tech meaning, but editable poly has much more features (like quick 
slice, bridge etc)

Editable mesh was first, so it's like and old type of modeling in 3ds 
max. But basicly, mesh and poly - are similar polymodeling directions.

Editable patch - is something like subdiv modeling in max. One patch - 
is the subdivided polygon.
