animating crankshaft and piston

by Brian <calhoontuna2@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jun 4, 2007 at 01:56 PM

Trying to animate the inside of an engine. Linked the crankshaft to
the piston rod, and then linked the piston rod to the crankshaft. The
crankshaft is the root.

Limited the rotations so that when you turned the crankshaft the
piston rod rotates up and around the crankshaft and pushes the piston
straight up and down on the Y axis.

The problem is that I'm having a hard time connecting the piston rod
to the piston. Right now as the rod moves correctly around the
crankshaft the other end does this weird little X axis slide within
the piston. How do I make it so that the piston end of the rod is
fixed within the center of the piston?
