I want to create full-scale images which occupy only 2-4k bytes
each so that I can download them to cellphones without costing lots
of bandwidth but which will nevertheless fill up nearly the entire
cellphone screen so that they'll be easily viewable on that tiny
screen. Shrinking down the image to a thumbnail on a desktop
computer screen is no good because then the image would be a tiny
spot in the center of the cellphone screen virtually useless. I
need to do this on a semi-public computer where I am not allowed to
download&install new software. I have to use the software that
comes with the system. I looked in the menus for the "Paint"
accessory but couldn't find anything like this. Does anybody here
know how to do what I want? I think the computer system is Windows XP.
(I'm posting this from Unix dialup shell account. I can't post
from the Windows machine, and that's in another room a long
walk from here, and won't even be available until later today,
so that's why I don't just go check for sure that it's XP.)
