   You can try to add a _big_ swapfile for this operation. This
   sequence of commands add 512MB of swap:

# dd if=/dev/zero of=/somepartition/swapfile bs=1048576 count=512
# mkswap /somepartition/swapfile
# swapon /somepartition/swapfile
   
   WARNING: if you are not fluent with this kind of low-level
   operation, ASK a guru. And please READ the manpages of the
   three commands, you have be WARNED.
