A few simple questions for Maya users

by kyleb2119@[EMAIL PROTECTED] (kyleb2119) Feb 26, 2004 at 03:17 PM

I'm a long time Softimage user evaluating Maya. I've got a few issues
driving me nuts with Maya and they're the kind of simple things an
experienced user might answer easily and save me some grief.

Only the active panel seems to update when scrubbing the time bar.
Can I set them all to update?

The camera view I select in the Render Globals dialog seems to have no
effect on what the batch renderer renders. I have to turn off all the
"renderable" settings in the camera attributes of all but the one
camera I want to use in order to force the batch renderer to use that
camera. What am I doing wrong?

How do you make visible default cameras? The display options don't
seem to work for them like they do for cameras I add to a scene.

Is there any way to show the batch renderer at work other than taking
snapshots with the "show batch render" command?

Why are there 3 undeleteable materials (lambert1, particlecloud1, etc)
loaded by default in the hypershade panel even when the scene is
empty?

Thanks.
