I never used PSP but I think "tubes" are similar to brush options
you paint with objects? or patterns? PS has this but you have to set up
the
options
also any shape in B&W can be saved as a brush tip
custom shapes may also help you- choose the tool that looks like a line
and
flyout for more choices
when you copy a picture in PS it will only copy the layer you have active
if you need a copy of all the layers >>>choose copy merged
it is possible you copied an empty layer?
