Charlize Theron was born and grew up in Benoni on the East Rand; this
is east of (but part of) Johannesburg, which is the biggest city in
Africa.
Contrary to what you said about her accent, I read once about a Film
Director who chose her for a specific roll, simply because he loved
the Afrikaans accent.
Pictionary - we have a word game called 'scrabble'. More or less the
same, I assume.
