One time on a job we were shooting with Charlize Theron, we knew she was
from SA.
We stayed a week in a remote location no TV or other stuff to do at night
so we were drinking and
playing pictionary (a word game) and a word came up for her to do and she

very funny, I said they speak English in SA, I thought she was joking and
trying to get an easier word

it was hard to believe because she has such command of her American
accents
then she demonstrated her language and we all laughed
she said she learned it from watching Love Boat re-runs as a child
she also said on that trip that she was going to quit modeling and go for
film work
jump 10 years
and she now has an Academy award to show for learning all that American
dialect
