Almost all Flash drives are compatible with USB 1.1, but they do
transfer files much slower than USB 2.0 when plugged into the older
****ts. There can also sometimes be power problems on the older ****ts.
Or at least they supposed to be. I do know of people who have had
problems getting some Flash drives to work on some USB ****ts ... maybe
they were using the early USB 1.0 ones.

It could be a rather expensive way to transfer the files. Once you've
transferred them you're left with a PCI SCSI card that is no use to
you.

You're probably best to reinstall applications from the original
CD-ROMS so that the extensions and other extras are put in the right
places. If some of the installers are on floppy disks you can drag the
disk icon itself onto your hard drive and then transfer the resulting
folder and most applications will install from that.
If the PageMaker files have been opened and saved quite a lot (and you
PageMaker preference have been set to Save Quicker rather than Save
Smaller), then it is a good idea to perform a Save As before
transferring them - the Save As will throw out any unneeded rubbish
which is still in the file and give you smaller files, often MUCH
smaller files. :o)
