There is one thing you need to be aware of: Adobe killed off PageMaker
a few years back, replacing it with InDesign.

It may not affect you at the moment if PageMaker does all you need it
to, but there will never be another version after PageMaker 7 which
means that it will have problems under newer versions of Windows or the
Mac OS (it has all sorts of quirks running under Mac OS X and won't
work at all on new Intel-based Macs).

But, rather than taking a lot of time to learn PageMaker you might want
to instead consider changing up to InDesign (if do***ents need to go to
a profesional print company) or perhaps Microsoft Publisher (for
in-house desktop printing / photocopying).
