It sounds as though either the file or your installation of Pagemaker is
damaged. If you'd like, I'll try opening it with PM 7.0 - but if I do, I
won't be able to save it in a format you can use. If I were you, I'd try
reinstalling PM (or repairing the installation, if that's possible).
Many designers have migrated to Indesign. Adobe has said that it's the
successor to Pagemaker.
