InDesign "feature" I need help with

by Dick Margulis <margulisd@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Mar 30, 2006 at 12:27 PM

I turned on hanging punctuation ("Optical Margin Alignment") and noticed
that this resulted in bullets being misaligned.

My workaround: Create a secondary text frame style to be used for
bulleted lists, with hanging punctuation turned off; shorten the basic
text frame to just above the first bullet; thread the text to a new text
frame (of the bullet variety); size that to the length of the list;
thread that to a new basic text frame.

Obviously, this is a PITA. Am I missing some obvious way to have my cake
and eat it, too?
