Hi All,
I am a 22 veteran of C/C++ programming and I have started to learn LW [8]
as of about 2.5 years ago. Because of a development project I am working
on I need to be able to write an LScript for Layout that reads a file and
defines
a series of camera motion key frames. I was dismayed upon reading the
do***entation for LScripts which is far below professional standards. It
goes on appologetically saying that it was written for artists and not for
programmers. I feel that was a mistake because more programmers are
likely to want to learn Lightwave than LW artists are likely to pick up
programming.
I ordered "Lightwave 3D [8] LScript for Artists" a year and a half ago
and its release date continues to be postponed. My feeling is that the
book's
author (Emanuele Salvucci) has been running into the same walls that I
have
been.
Newtek has, so far, not answered any of my emails to tech sup****t.
So... are any of you people out there actively writing LScript programs
for Layout? I would like to get in touch with you.
Respectfully,
Paul K. McKneely
