Thanks for the reply Rus. Looks like we both have the same thing
going on. I've since noticed this happening in a few other apps, but
not to the degree of LW. Strange thing is, it is not consistent,
that is, I cannot reproduce the flickering myself.

All my drivers are the newest available, as I mentioned my
system is brand new: finally gave the $ to afford a decent
graphics machine and this is what happens! I'll be starting
with directX and OpenGL, rolling back these to see if
they may be the culprit.

What graphics card/drivers are you running ? Would
it be nvidia perchance ? It would be easier if we could see
what our computers have in common, so please list your
components.
