If you're just needing static curtains, then you're fine with what you 
have.  If you mean as in cloth curtains that would react to dynamics 
such as wind & gravity, then Motion Designer is pretty much what you'll 
need to use.  It's gotten a lot more robust and controlable in 8.5 and 
9.0 than in 7.5.
