Hi
Don't know if this is the 'proper' way to do it, but this works for me
(in linux). Enter gnuplot interactively and just load the script file.
$ gnuplot
gnuplot> load 'gnuplotscript.dem'
<things happen>
gnuplot> <interactive commands>
