Is anybody else having a problem with blurred images from raw files

When I open a Canon Raw file CR2 with Ufraw the picture is fine but when 
it goes over to gimp it is blurred right across the image. If I take the 
photo as a jpg the photos are fine in gimp. I am using Ubuntu 8.04 and 
Gimp 2.4.5 and ufraw 0.13-1build1
