Yes, I know 2.6 is out. I'll get to it eventually.
Current system: Windows 2000 with both GIMP 2.2 & 2.4
installed. 2.3 had been installed, but I removed it before
installing 2.4.
Problem #1: In 2.2 I had managed to tell the Open and Save
dialogues to use F:\ as the default location, instead of "My
Pictures". I don't remember how I did that, and can't find how to
do it for 2.4.
Problem #2: Many filters seemingly will not register. I have
several downloaded scripts which attempt to register themselves in
a Color menu under Filters. None of these properly register in
2.4. Here's an example:
(script-fu-menu-register "script-fu-colortemp"
_"<Image>/Filters/Colors")
I changed it to the following, and it works correctly:
(script-fu-menu-register "script-fu-colortemp"
_"<Image>/Filters/Light and Shadow")
However, I have other scripts that "want" to be under Color. Do
have to modify all of them? Is there something special about the
"Color" name? (Actually, I don't get any kind of "cannot
register" error, but there's never a Color selection from the
Filters pulldown menu.)
