Two things to try. First off these are in reference to my desktop
environment and you may have something else. So your mileage may vary.
1. Add tabs to the tools menu so you'll have as many things there as is
practical. I've got tool
options,brushes,paths,channels,patterns,gradients
and text.
2. On the KDE desktop I click in the upper left corner and select ->
Advanced -> Keep Above Others. This way I can keep several menus open at
once without them being covered by the image window.
Though it would be nice to be able to have a tabbed dock box for floating
menus, for instance 'Map' and 'Distorts', I don't think this is possible
yet. It certainly would make for better real estate utilization ! You
can
always use the buttons on the top row of the image window. Too much
navigation to be efficient in my opinion.
