Hi, thanks for all responses!

First of all, i'm a happy Gimp-user and photoshop is just a old story
for me.
The question which i post, is like a feeling, a little inconvenience,
which bothers me form time to time and the difference between normal
and fullscreen mode is insignificant.
I wanted to try to work on single images at time, and this without
obscuring the other floating control-panels of Gimp; the window -
options doesn't help to solve this problem. Uff, thats it.
