Unfortunately once you've converted an image to grayscale and saved it, 
the color information is irretrievably lost. You can try to color the 
picture, but that's more like painting it, not restoring it. If you have 
another picture of the same scene taken shortly before or after the one 
you're trying to restore, perhaps you can sample the colors in the 
former to hand-paint the latter. But like I just said, this is not 
really restoration.

When you edit a picture, it is good practice to leave the original 
untouched and only work on a copy.
