Match-moving software

by "Nathan Funk" <nathan.funk@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Dec 3, 2006 at 09:40 PM

Hi everyone,

I would like some feedback on a product idea of mine. I am a computer
vision software developer, looking for possible applications for some
software I've developed together with a friend.

The software works similar to match moving software except that a
pattern is placed in the scene to simplify the tracking process.
Currently we are applying the technology for "augmented reality" which
allows a person to add a virtual object to a real scene (in real-time).
You can see examples of the software at:

The virtual object is essentially attached to the pattern in the scene.
Since match-moving is quite similar, I am curious whether this software
might be useful for those of you doing special effects.

Do you think it's feasible? What features would you expect? Would it be
handy to have it integrated?

Thanks in advance!

Nathan
