Mental ray and PaintEffects

Hi folks,
I was trying to render a PaintEffect daisy using mental ray, but for
some reason the daisy is not visible after it's rendered.  It does
however, render fine in Maya Software.  Is it possible to render
PaintEffects in mental ray?  If so how?
