I am new to 3D studio and to Cinema 4D.
I am working on the math, physics and aerodynamics of long range gliding
capabilities of large wing gliders. For a given 3D terrain, atmospheric
conditions like wind speed, direction, temperature etc, I am trying to
calculate the flight characteristics of the glider. Currently I have a set
of data for the terrain and wind, and corresponding glider's position,
height, attitude (ie, roll, pitch and yaw angles), glider's speed and wing
loading etc.
What I want to do
(i) Draw the 3D scene terrain (with texture), trees, rivers, sky, sun,
clouds, shadows, reflections etc.
(ii) Draw the glider at initial position
(iii) Read-in the glider position and its roll, pitch and yaw angles
from the data file and move the glider into the new position for each
frame
(25-30 frames per second)
(iv) Generate video from various camera angles.
My questions are
(1) How can I read the glider data from an external file move the
glider
to its new position in either/both 3D Studio and/or Cinema4D ?
(2) Is there any tutorial on the net for this kind of visualization?
Thanks
