Linker errors

by Klamath.exo@[EMAIL PROTECTED] Jul 30, 2006 at 03:07 PM

Hi all,

Im running FC5 with gcc4.1 and had been using OpenInventor6. I had to
downgrade to OIV5 as the Overlay nodes seem to be broken in 6.

So i put OIV5 on and i am getting a stack of linker errors. I am aware
i should be using gcc3.2.3 but i cant compile it with gcc4.1 as they
use a different construct. I do however have the 'compat gcc3.2.3'
packages installed.

Linker errors are:

/home/klamath/OpenInventor5/lib/libInventorXt.so: undefined reference
to `std::__default_alloc_template<true, 0>::allocate(unsigned int)'
/home/klamath/OpenInventor5/lib/libInventorXt.so: undefined reference
to `std::__default_alloc_template<true, 0>::_S_free_list'
/home/klamath/OpenInventor5/lib/libInventorXt.so: undefined reference
to `std::__default_alloc_template<true, 0>::_Lock::~_Lock()'
/home/klamath/OpenInventor5/lib/libInventorXt.so: undefined reference
to `std::__default_alloc_template<true, 0>::_S_force_new'
/home/klamath/OpenInventor5/lib/libInventorXt.so: undefined reference
to `std::__default_alloc_template<true, 0>::_Lock::_Lock()'
/home/klamath/OpenInventor5/lib/libInventorXt.so: undefined reference
to `std::__default_alloc_template<true, 0>::_S_refill(unsigned int)'
/home/klamath/OpenInventor5/lib/libInventor.so: undefined reference to
`std::basic_string<char, std::char_traits<char>, std::allocator<char>
>::_S_empty_rep_storage'
/home/klamath/OpenInventor5/lib/libInventorXt.so: undefined reference
to `std::__default_alloc_template<true, 0>::_S_node_allocator_lock'
/home/klamath/OpenInventor5/lib/libInventorXt.so: undefined reference
to `std::__default_alloc_template<true, 0>::deallocate(void*, unsigned
int)'

Help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks!
-J
