Yes, you can have attachments.
If you're using Gmail via a mail reader such as outlook express, you
just attach the same way you always do.
If you're using it via its web interface, on the "compose mail" screen
there's a link just under the subject line that says "Attach a file".
What you CAN'T do is access binary groups with Google Groups.
