Aiptek Pen LCD Monitor

by bebelino <a.b@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jan 18, 2005 at 12:37 AM

Hello,
about a year ago I was looking for a good TFT-screen that acted as a
tablet where one could draw on. I've looked at the cintiq-series of
Wacom, even travelled 100km to see and use one in real life. Than I
bumped into the same product of aiptek. At the time it costed 500 euro
(New and unused). Nowadays I think you can still buy it at the same
price. It's a 15 inch monitor, acting also as an usb-drawing-tablet.
One can draw directly on the screen. The reason I'm posting this here
is that I'm really satisfied with this tablet. It's working like a
snap. In a year of extinsevely use it has not given me any troubles,
besides the replacement of the wide-used batteries. When you use
recharchable batteries there's no problem what so ever.
So, I think, in compare with this particular Aiptek-product, the
cintiq-line is waaaaaayyyyyy overpriced and recommend the aiptek
product instead. I'm personally using the tablet to trace drawings in
adobe illustrator, but it can work off course with all windows
programs. Mac, I'm not aware off. Am I the only one who has seen the
truth in this?? I don't understand.
