I had the same issue some months ago with my Intuos2 6x8 and my Dell
8500 when in the ****t replicator. One Wacom tech suggested it had to do
with the power supplied to USB ****t via the replicator. After talking
to a few techs and my own tinkering I found a work around.
My solution: If running Windows SP1, do not install the Windows
recommended update KB822603 which updates the underlying windows USB
sup****t. If you have already installed it, just uninstall it via the
windows Add/remove programs option. Of course, since this fix is rolled
into the service pack 2 update, you'll have the same problem if you
upgrade to SP2. I just tried it as an experiment and no amount of
tinkering would fix the problem. I ended up uninstalling SP2 and the
tablet as well as all my other USB devices are working well.
