I certainly appreciate yours and everyone's help in trying to solve my 
problem - it is obviously much more difficult than what I had first 
anticipated (why is it that ALL my problems seem to be that way???).  I
have 
now spent hours upon hours and have been unsuccessful.  I have gone
through 
your steps many many times and I must be missing something for I still get
a 
"white box" in the deleted area when I have saved the file.  Unless you
have 
any other ideas - I guess I will "throw up my hands" and say that "PS 
Elements beat me on this one".
