Adobe LightRoom problem

by Skinner1@[EMAIL PROTECTED] Jun 6, 2008 at 06:34 AM

Is anybody using LightRoom?

I have a problem with both the 1.4 version and the newer 2.0 Beta
version.

For some reason something has caused my dark shades to splotch for
lack of a more precise term. In the darkest ranges my images have
become banded almost as if the lower light values have switched to
indexed color mode.

I do not know if a setting became corrupted or what has happened. I
tried a repair install and checking my graphics card settings... have
searched the preferences a dozen times but I still get this grouping
of darker tones into bands.

It has to be something in the computer/software/ settings because it
even does this on older photographs that were processed through
LightRoom months ago with no problems.
