Watermark a la Russel

I follow hi s instruction quite nively but when it comes to paste in
Photoshop I
do not get the window to allow me to paste anywhere but the picture
itself. That
of course does spoil the process.
I do work with CS 2 but as I say in edit/paste there is no choice for
paths,
please help
