Never said that they are too expensive, there just aren't...
I'm trying it myself now, I traced the contour of a photo I like to get
the
shape as to have a sort  of logo, I would then like to use the photo
itself
but with a sort of evanescence from top to bottom so that the photo
becomes
whiter going toward the bottom as to have a white space where to write the
infos about the company, now I have to solve this problem, I don't know
how
to apply a gradient from transparent to white in illustrator but I maybe
better do it in a photo retouch software
