They are predicting today that it might go to land in So. FL.
If it gets into the open Gulf, then I have to worry. They almost
always seem to hone in on my house when they get into the open Gulf. :-)

Opal & Erin hit me dead on. They eye right over my house. And Ivan
went just a couple miles, litterally only a couple miles west of me,
which is
even worse with the wind direction and surge.....

If it looks like it's gonna clear the tip of FL, time to fill all the
gas cans for the generator. :-(

Same thing happening in Louisiana. First Allstate said they were going to
leave entirely, but backed down. Now they want to remove wind damage from
their policies, including existing policies. Costs skyrocketed immediately
for anything to do with construction. And the low to middle income folks,
the workers of NOLA, who previously rented can't come back because rents
are
up 40% since Katrina.

We hear a bit about FL and I knew some areas were still having a hard time
from previous hits. Now it's looking like Ernesto may be targeting FL.
There's no *good* place for a hurricane to go once it's in the Gulf.
