cell animation in Painter 8

by "Luis ORTEGA" <lortega@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Mar 10, 2005 at 08:03 PM

I need to learn to do cell animation in Painter 8 and I'm having trouble
understanding the basics.

How can I automate a few things so that I don't have to redraw everything
from scratch on each succeeding frame?
I can't seem to put the background on one layer and then use another layer

to place and animate a moving figure.

How can I make a background drawing and then have it repeat on all of the
frames?
How can I add a figure into the background and then be able to copy it
from
frame to frame and make a few changes to the motion on the following
frames?
It seems that if I draw a shape and advance to later frames, the shape
gets
copied as it is along with the background drawing.

Can anyone please help me out or point to where I can find tutorials on
these things. I don't seem to have a manual with Painter 8. My most recent

manual is from Painter 6. Painter 8 did come with a second CD, if I
recall,
doeas that have the manual on it.
The Painter website is now all about Painter 9 and it doesn't help me
much.

Thanks for any advice.
