Painter 8 scripting problem

by "Parland" <parland@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Dec 22, 2004 at 11:18 PM

Dear Folks,

I am trying to do a photo-revealing script that reveals the colors of the
original photo using brush strokes. When I replay the script, it either
uses a single color, or it reveals another photo (some flower photo I've
never seen before).

The steps I use are:

1. Open the original photo
2. Clone it
3. Select the clone, then "select all" to mask to whole image
4. I then edit/clear to remove the mask, which gives me a blank image
5. I set the tracing paper on
6. I start recording the script and my brush strokes reveal the image
underneath
7. I save the script
8. I close the clone and create a new one with the same name from the same

source
9. I run the script, and it has the problems I described above.

Any ideas?
