PHILADELPHIA (AP) A man whose prized stolen art collection was recovered
by
police and FBI agents this week has identified most of the 50 paintings
taken
from his home earlier this month.

The collection, valued at $1 million, was stolen from the Germantown home
of
Harry Lownsbury, 75, on Dec. 2. Police have charged George Winns, 31, in
the
theft after finding the artworks in his home in the city's Strawberry
Mansion
section.

Lownsbury identified the stolen paintings and pieces of furniture at the
Major
Crimes Unit, police said.

Lownsbury had ac***ulated the works over several decades with his longtime
partner, Joe Dougherty.

Police have not yet found a collection of more than 100 missing Royal
Doulton
figurines.
