two videos I made using appropriated footage

I would appreciate any opinions.  I don't know if this is considered
art (in the formal sense), but I am interested in finding out what
people think.

The first video is an 'amv' (anime music video), a music video edited
together with footage from one or more Japanese cartoon.  This is a
longtime trend with fans of the anime genre; I'm curious if its made
any headway into the art world.
