What is the best protective coating for outdoor art

by beccaf@[EMAIL PROTECTED] Jul 16, 2006 at 06:08 PM

I have a sign hand painted by my brother in law. It is a picture of our
cottage in the woods. It needs a protective coating as it will hang
outside exposed to all kinds of weather.
It was painted with acryllics. Polyurethane will turn it yellow.
An artist at a show said she bought something off the web (a type of
clear coat) but could not remember the name of the product nor the
source.
Any reccomendations? The painting was done on wood.
