In addition to the other good ideas already posted, try soaking the
brush overnight in Windex -- be sure it's the original "Ammonia D" type.
I've had pretty good success using that to clean acrylics. Cheap and
non-flammable. Adding an ultrasonic cleaner like

(just an example; there are plenty of other alternatives out there)
will also help to attack the grunge without damaging the brush.
