From LightWave to modo: an Interview with Brad Peebler, CEO of Luxology

by Franco Folini <folini@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jun 20, 2007 at 11:54 PM

Luxology modo is a 3D modeling system (in a way similar to 3ds Max).
It uses a new interesting modeling approach called polygon/surface
subdivision. SubD allows the user to create non rectangular patches
and to control the surface curvature in a very natural and precise
way.

For the end-users, the quality of results and the speed are very
interesting. IMHO, it is im****tant to know that the key people behind
modo are all coming from the NewTek LightWave team. Therefore the
expectations for modo are very high!

If you are interested, I just completed an interview for the Novedge
blog with Brad Peebler, CEO of Luxology.
