What are the best settings for Canon 3DSOM (3D Software Object Modeller)?

by smogkiller2004@[EMAIL PROTECTED] Jan 17, 2007 at 06:27 PM

My company is trying 3d-SOM version 1.0 by Canon. We're not getting
anything resembling a 3D wireframe, and when we run the mark procedure,
we often get errors, saying that the settings need to be changed.
Canon's manual has no useful suggestions. Tried scanning (with a
digital camera) a teapot and a multimeter, but the 3D-SOM's
interpretations were nothing even close. The 3DSOM's tutorial and Help
PDF shows very exact examples, but we can't get anything that even
resembles an object. What are the optimum settings (parameters) that
you've discovered? Are there any user groups or forums for this
software? Thanks for all suggestions.
